高校生のクラスでは、夏休みの為、New Yorkの高校から一時帰国しているJunが久しぶりにスクールに遊びに来てくれました。英語でアメリカの流行や音楽の話、ファッションの話など話は尽きず・・・！！　仲間って素敵ですね！！　仲間との再会に乾杯( ^^)／▽▽＼(^^ )！！

Texas Hold'em! Seven card stud! Five card draw! Poker and other card games have a long history in the United States and beyond, and have had a lasting impact on the language and culture. Care to up the ante? Will you call somebody's bluff? Even if it means going all in? What is a dead man's hand? Better play it close to your chest, and watch that poker face! These top level Kent students learned the games and the lingo. Don't worry, nothing in the pot but a few plastic chips here!

14 Heartwarming IllustrationsShowing Love Between Dads And Their Little Girls

Love does not comefrom expensive gifts or loud declarations, but rather from small everydaymoments. And where else can you see it clearer than in the relationshipsbetween parents and their children.

Youngpainter Snezhana Soosh illustrates this love in her heartwarming watercolorpaintings of small everyday moments that make up the big picture. Although herdrawings feel deeply personal, most of us will find it pretty easy to see partof our own experience in them.

Snezhana Soosh（シェジャーナ・スーシュ） (37) は、ウクライナ出身のアーティストです。彼女は最近、父と娘の関係性を描いたイラストレーションを描いています。シェジャーナの人生には、父の存在はなかったそうですが、彼女はこの作品を通して将来父親になるかもしれない自分の息子、そして世の中の若い男性たちに伝えたいことがあるそうです。それは、家族を持った時には、ちゃんと娘の側にいてあげて欲しいというもの。このイラストはシリーズ化され、現在14枚が公開されています。ほっこり可笑しいものあれば、ぐっとくるもあります。

＊（それぞれの挿絵には“言葉”がないのでそれぞれのイメージで物語を膨らませることが出来、創造力が生まれますよね）

・。・。・Seeing the daddy-daughter bond as art perfectly shows how beautiful fatherhood can be.

父と娘の関係性を可愛く描いたイラストに、心が何だかほっこり。父と娘で一緒に見て欲しい作品です。

On Sunday our intrepid students boldly embarked on the many levels of the Eiken test.

After months of studying for their respective grade,

本物のお魚や、カメにふれることが出来るかな！？
お父さん、よろしくねo(^▽^)o　そして、いつもありがとう、
大好きな、お父さん♦♫♦･*:..｡♦♫♦*ﾟ¨ﾟﾟ

お父さんのことを"Daddy（ダディ）”と呼んで"I love my Daddy!!（お父さん大好き｡♥｡･ﾟ♡ﾟ･｡♥｡･ﾟ♡ﾟ･｡♥｡）と一言！！授業の中でお父さんの好きな所と、お父さんの好きな食べ物、スポーツなどをお話しました・・・(ex; My father likes playing golf. My Daddy likes Ramen and... Beer!!)
お父さんは、ゴルフが好き！！　ラーメンが好き！！そして・・・ビールが大好き❦などなど
中には、毎日お父さんとお風呂に入っている為今日のクラフトもお風呂で遊ぶのo(^▽^)oとはしゃいでいたお友達も・・・（ぬれちゃいま～す！！）

ここは、NYにあるHoustonStreetとMott Streetの交差点。そこには自己啓発の文言が書かれたビルの壁でした！！

じつはこれ、「Peter Fischli and David Weiss」というスイス人アーティストたちの作品。「Public Art Fund」によれば、もとを辿れば30年以上前のこと。タイの陶器工場にあった掲示板に書かれていた文言を使用したものだそうです。いつの時代も、ハードワーカーたちの間では、苦労を乗り越えるための教訓が掲げられていたのかもしれませんね！
