Congratulations to Haruna Ohara and Himari Hamatsu for placing 2nd and 6th respectively in in the 65th Inter-Junior High School English Oratorial Contest in Koriyama! Speech contests are a popular and difficult challenge for Japanese students, and to do so well in one this large is a great honor. Haruna's speech was about a runner in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics who came in last place, but never dropped out of the race like many others. Himari's speech was about the iconic Studio Ghibli film ''Kiki's delivery service.''

Well done, ladies! You make everyone at Kent proud!

：大原　遥菜（はるな）ちゃん　　♔：準入賞２位

　"The Runner Wearing Number 67"
　＊１９６４年東京オリンピックのスリランカの選手で最後まで諦めずに走り続けた陸上選手についてのスピーチ

見事二人共入賞を果たしました！！本当におめでとうございます☆
＊Harunaちゃんは９月９日行われた県大会で５位入賞を果たしました！！

今日から2学期の新しいスタート☆彡

Congratulations to Yuito Uchida, 6 years old, and Kana Watanabe, 9 years old, for passing the 3rd and pre-2nd levels of the Eiken test, repectively! This is an impressive feat for students their age, but it comes as no surprise from these two young scholars. Yuito wants to play in an international soccer league (especially in England, so....football!) and Kanna wants to be a pharmacist or a history professor. Clearly they are well on their way to their dreams!

2016年度になり英検のシステムと配点方法が異なりました。

以前よりも合格が難しくなった中、小学校一年生で3級に合格した結人（Yuito）くん。

3年生で準２級に合格した栞奈（Kanna）ちゃん。
Yuitoくんの将来はサッカー選手になってヨーロッパのリーグでサッカーをする為に英語を、

Kannaちゃんは薬剤師になって世界中で病気で苦しんでいる人

を助けるために世界で働きたいと将来の夢とこれからの目標を教えてくれました。

二人の共通の目標。小学校卒業までに英検2級を頑張って合格したいと気合充分です！！

続いて英検準１級に合格したMegumiちゃん。英検も無事に合格し、これからは大学受験に気持ちを切り替えて将来の目標の為に頑張ります！！

In Australia,and New Zealand, Christmas comes in the towards the beginning of the summer holidays! Children have their summer holidays from mid December to early February, so some people might even be camping at Christmas!!
